Welcome, my name is Ashana, I'm 45 years old. Amsterdam is my home. I come from Dutch and Indonesian roots. East and West both live inside me. Western and eastern bodywork are also both alive inside me and still growing. I had many challenges growing up. I lived in fear and pain for many years. In 2011 I started living in an Osho commune and I became a committed meditator, that's the point where my healing journey started. I started facilitating meditations, became involved in therapeutic group work and started training as a therapist. The main objective has always been meditation, returning to the body and working with people. I came to a point, where I finally felt free to be myself and to choose my life according to myself. That's when I started with my journey in bodywork education. I began with the western massage approach, and this has led me to eastern bodywork.

Since 2024 I'm a massage therapist at Arigato Massage Company in Weesp. And I give bodywork sessions to a client with a high spinal cord injury.

I have been working as a professional care giver, working with elderly people with a form of dementia and people with high spinal cord injuries. Guiding and nursing them at home, so they could still live a fulfilled life according to their wishes.

And for as long as I can remember I have been a creative person. Creating art has been an ongoing process in my life and is inextricably related to my sense of purpose and happiness.
